Hi. Darren Pearson here from DNP Consulting. Please feel free to leave feedback on any of my blog postings. I especially encourage feedback from Disqus users.
Saw Rush at the State Fair yesterday and had a blast! The tickets were a surprise gift from my wife for my birthday. Thanks Steph! They played every song from Motion Pictures but also had a great selection of songs from Permanent Waves, Hold Your Fire, Snakes and Arrows plus many more. Loved the intro to Working Man. The Star Tribune had a pretty good review.
Just got back from a great vacation in Wisconsin. Spent three nights at the Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake and two nights at the Wisconsin Dells. The Osthoff is about an hour northwest of Milwaukee and super relaxing. I’d recommend it to anyone. My son had an excellent time on the water slides and go-karts at the Dells, as seen below.
Deactivated my Facebook account about three weeks ago and haven’t missed it too much. While it was nice to have all those contacts easily accessible, I haven’t missed getting the Mafia Wars and Farmville Requests. (I know, you can block the updates out on a normal desktop but I was unable to do it on my iTouch.)
My guess is I’ll eventually go back but if I do, I’m really gonna limit my private info. Time will tell.
One of my favorite quotes: “Some of these people make my skin crawl. The characters of “Sex and the City 2″ are flyweight bubbleheads living in a world which rarely requires three sentences in a row. Their defining quality is consuming things.”
Nope, this post isn’t about the movie Avatar. Just signed up for the Pandora Internet Radio Service. Pretty cool stuff. Created a custom radio station called Rush Radio shown below. (Just want to clarify, it’s the Canadian Progressive Rock Trio, not the conservative talk show guy.) Would love to hear from any other Pandora users.
Just got back from Fort Myers for Spring Break. Really needed to get away for a few days. Saw a Twins Game, swam in the ocean, spent some quality time with my wife & son and got some sun. Now it’s back to work.
